Chiropractic & Osteopathy

Hands-on, safe manipulation of the spine and other joints.

aka. "the cracking stuff"

Many people ask what the difference is between Chiropractic & Osteopathy, but we embrace their similarities.

What is Chiropractic & Osteopathy?

Chiropractic and Osteopathy are two of the largest healthcare professions in the world, aimed at reducing pain, improving mobility, and increasing function. Our practitioners use gentle manipulation as well as other techniques such as soft tissue massage, dry needling, and rehab exercises in order to treat patients.

The patients we see vary from general population to babies and children, and even sports professionals.

If the complaint is something that we can not treat we will refer you to the right professional with as much information as possible.

Why you need Chiropractic & Osteopathy Treatments?

There are many reasons as to why you would visit a chiro or osteo. The majority of our patients come to see us because of pain – they’ve either done something or injured themselves somehow. Most of these problems will have started several weeks, months, even years beforehand, but something small has resulted in a sudden sharp pain.

Whilst the majority come in to see us in pain, we aim to help people understand that the stage before the pain starts (the stiff phase) is the best time to get treated.

Most patients choose to come in routinely for an MOT style appointment. It’s an opportunity to check over the entire body and ensure it is moving and functioning as well as possible.

How Chiropractic & Osteopathy Treatment works?

Manipulation is often associated with the cracking noise people experience when they crack their knuckles (which does not cause arthritis!). The noise in actual fact is simply gas and air. As well as manipulation of the joints our practitioners also use:

  • Soft tissue massage
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Dry needling
  • Rehabilitation exercises
  • Stretching and advice
